Events for June 5 - June 4

As part of the National Professional Qualification for Executive Leaders, I must attend the day's training session.

This week, we welcome students from St. Mary's for their week long placement.

Children in Year 1 will be undertaking the statutory Phonics Screening Check during this week. Those children in Year 2 who did not pass this Screening Check, must also re-take it during this week.

Children in Year 4 will undertake the statutory MTC (multiplication tables check). There is no pass mark for this check, unlike the Phonics Screening Check. It is generally assumed that 20 is a pass (80% accuracy).

As part of our work with the Consortia (16 local schools) we will be hosting the final monthly Reasoning Maths session of this academic year.

Key Stage 1 (inc. Reception) will be leading today's themed prayer and liturgy.

Statutory meeting for HTs

Children in Years 2 through to Year 5 will undertake the following tests: Reading Maths - Arithmetic and Reasoning Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar Some children will undertake a separate phonics test during this week.

Year 6 will be leading today's whole school prayer and liturgy.

Year 6 have the opportunity to visit Low Bank Ground for a 4 night residential. Low Bank Ground is situated in Coniston. From the dining room window you can see out across Coniston Water and on clear days, you can see the top of the 'Old Man of Coniston'.
